Welcome to Little Veggie Sale

Little Veggie Sale is a registered nonprofit that works to provide fresh, affordable and occasionally free produce to the community of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

We provide monthly veggie sales where produce is just $1/lbs, as well as two free produce giveaway events annually. 

Our sales are led with joy while focusing on making fresh produce accessible for our fellow community members, while being transparent with you every step of the way.

our produce

We strive to have a minimum of 10 different produce options at each sale, all available for $1/lbs.

In the past two years, we’ve had apples, oranges, cucumbers, tomatoes, buttercup squash, corn, sweet potatoes, green peppers, yellow peppers, beets, red cabbage, green cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes, parsnips, bok choy, turnip, broccoli, cauliflower and more.

how it works

Each month, we work with local farmers to source fresh, local produce and then set up our little veggie sale at 2700 Robie St. Customers come out and shop our produce, selecting the items and quantity of each veggie they’d like for just $1/lbs.

Produce is first come, first serve. We accept cash, debit and credit.
